Cardiac Scientist/Technician – St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside

Fast-Paced and Dynamic Cardiac Cath Lab!

About the role:

We’re a busy Cardiac Catheter Laboratory (CCL) on the Northside of Brisbane, approximately 25 kms from the Brisbane CBD. We are widely recognised as leading the field in advanced cardiac care, combining surgical innovation with extensive knowledge and expertise.

Our CCL at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside CCL has a full-time (part-time may also considered) position for a Cardiac Scientist/Technician to join our highly skilled team. Our services consist of Coronary Angiography & Angioplasty, Right Heart Catheterisation, Structural Procedures including TAVI & Mitraclip, Pacemaker & Defibrillation Implantation, Electrophysiology Studies & Radiofrequency/Pulsed Field Ablation.

Ideally you will have extensive knowledge within this specialty and hold post-graduate education qualifications and affiliations.

Things that work for us:

  • Degree in Science (or equivalent) with a strong component of human physiology

  • Minimum of 12 months experience in cardiac investigations (preferable)

  • Haemo-dynamic monitoring experience (preferable)

  • Electrophysiology/Permanent Pacing experience (preferable)

  • Ability to work flexible hours within a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team

  • Motivated with effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to support and practice the mission and philosophy of the hospital

While not essential desired qualifications and memberships could include:

  • Certificate of Electrophysiology Institute of Australasia OR

  • International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (Electrophysiology & Pacing)

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
