Job Description

NYU Langone Health is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Cardiac Imaging Cardiologist with expertise in structural heart imaging to join our expanding cardiovascular team in Manhattan.

This full-time academic faculty position offers the opportunity to work within a high-volume, multidisciplinary structural heart program supporting complex transcatheter and surgical interventions.

This role includes a balanced and substantial clinical workload, with a significant component of routine transthoracic (TTE) and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) interpretation, in addition to advanced structural and procedural imaging responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will work closely with interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and imaging teams to provide comprehensive imaging support across all phases of structural heart care, from pre-procedural planning through intraprocedural guidance and post-procedural follow-up.

Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)

Interpretation of cardiac imaging studies, including a focus on:

  • Routine TTE and TEE reading
  • Intraprocedural imaging support for structural heart interventions such as: TAVR, ASD/PFO closure, MV interventions, Left atrial appendage (LAA) closure, and others
  • Participation in multidisciplinary heart team conferences and procedural planning discussions
  • Possible role for performance and interpretation of structural heart procedural planning computed tomography (CT): Transcatheter and surgical intervention planning, coronary artery assessment in the context of structural heart interventions
  • Active involvement in academic activities, including research, education, and program development

Qualifications

  • MD or equivalent degree
  • Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Echocardiography
  • Level III training in Echocardiography
  • Demonstrated expertise in structural heart imaging and intraprocedural guidance
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State

Compensation: Salary range: $350,000 – $400,000, commensurate with experience and academic accomplishments.
