
United Health Services is seeking a Cardiac Catheterization Lab Technologist to join our specialized cardiovascular team. In this critical role, you will assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, operate imaging and monitoring equipment, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the process. You’ll play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality cardiac care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Work Shift and Schedule:
This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.
Compensation Range:
$37.00 - $55.50 per hour, depending on experience

Provides technical support for all Cath Lab procedures to include: catheterizations, angioplasty, structural heart procedures, peripheral angiography and angioplasty, temp pacemaker insertion and LV assist device insertions.
Responsible for technical support and clinical assistance, both sterile and non-sterile, of procedures including: catheterizations, angioplasty, structural heart procedures, peripheral angiography and angioplasty, temp pacemaker insertion and LV assist device insertions.
Operates required advanced imaging equipment using established guidelines and imaging protocols for interventional and non-interventional patient procedures.
Ensures proper safety standards are met and radiation safety practices are adhered to.
Instructs students and residents and performs preceptor duties when necessary.
Performs quality assurance checks on equipment.
Assists in maintaining supply inventory for all Cath Lab procedures.
Demonstrates working knowledge of UHS information systems.
Demonstrates knowledge of coding procedures for accurate billing of all Cath Lab procedures
Learns new techniques and technology by attending lectures, seminars, and educational readings.
Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology
New York State license as Radiologic Technologist
Two (2) years of experience in full services hospital as a Radiologic Technologist.
Previous experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a Cardiac Cath Lab
