Cardiac anesthesiologist opening supporting nationally recognized heart and vascular program at PRIME Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL. PRIME Saint Joseph Medical Center is a 480-bed facility that delivers the personal attention of a local hospital combined with an academic medical center’s sophisticated care. It features one of the country’s leading cancer centers, a Level II emergency and trauma center, a well-recognized heart and vascular program capable of managing even the most complicated procedures, and three Healing Arts Pavilion treatment centers. Chicago Magazine has named PRIME Saint Joseph Medical Center among the city’s top hospitals. Here, anesthesia leadership fosters a cohesive, growth-oriented environment, with ongoing opportunities for development. The group includes both dedicated anesthesiologists and CRNAs who are at all stages of experience and tenure, and work in a care team model. Total Rewards

Salary: Up to $560K in annual

Sign on bonus: $75K

Case Assignments

  • Cardiac, thoracic, neuro, general, OB, and healthy peds

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
  • Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
  • Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
  • Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed
  • Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • Completion of Anesthesiology Residency
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified
  • Current medical licensure
  • ECFMG/FLEX (if applicable)
