About the position…

As the car mechanic for Power Design's private car collection you'll be responsible for the maintenance, and preservation of a private collection of vehicles, with a focus on restomods. Additionally, this role includes maintaining and servicing the company’s fleet vehicles to ensure they remain in peak operating condition. The mechanic will balance expertise in vintage and modern automotive systems while managing diverse maintenance needs.

Position details/responsibilities…

  • Perform regular maintenance and repairs on restomods, vintage vehicles, modern high-performance cars, and company fleet vehicles.
  • Address mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic issues, ensuring all vehicles operate reliably and efficiently.
  • Perform routine servicing, inspections, and repairs for the company’s fleet of vehicles, which may include sedans, vans, or light-duty trucks.
  • Ensure fleet vehicles meet safety and performance standards and are ready for daily business operations.
  • Prepare private collection vehicles for shows, exhibitions, or driving events, ensuring they are in pristine condition.
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and well-equipped workspace suitable for restomod and fleet vehicle projects.
  • Work closely with the owner or collection manager to prioritize and plan customizations, restorations, and fleet maintenance schedules.

here’s what we’re looking for…

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school training or certification preferred.
  • Certification in Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or equivalent is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an automotive mechanic, with specific expertise in restomods, classic cars, and fleet vehicle maintenance.
  • Expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of vehicles, from restomods to corporate fleet vehicles.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to manage diverse responsibilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual tasks requiring precision.
  • A valid driver’s license, including experience with manual transmission and high-performance vehicles, is required.
  • Discretion and professionalism are critical when working with private collections and corporate assets.
