Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Capture Director, National Intelligence Sector with primary responsibility for leading and winning new business opportunities within the Intelligence and Homeland Security Division and will report to the VP of Growth, National Intelligence Sector. The position involves driving a disciplined position to win approach, to include competitive analysis, customer engagement, win strategy development and execution, and establishment of competitive advantages critical to winning competitive pursuits within the Intelligence Community markets. This position requires a team player capable of successfully building, leading, and mentoring cross-functional capture teams to develop and execute discriminating win strategies from opportunity qualification through proposal submission and award.

As a Capture Director, you will help ensure the growth of impactful work to the National Intelligence Sector portfolio, closely collaborating with Growth and P&L leadership to develop and execute capture strategies that will secure new and/or re-compete contract wins . Our work depends on a Capture Director to lead matrixed capture teams, interact with senior P&L leadership and functional support, build industry teams, and communicate with stakeholders to deliver winning capture strategies and proposals to our customers. Other responsibilities include: lead capture teams through uncertainty, unexpected changes, and tight timelines; keep teams focused and executing capture strategy; partner with GDIT Chief Technology Office and GDIT Proposal Center personnel, including solutions architects and proposal managers and resources, to ensure proposal teams meet milestones and quality expectations during the development of solutions and proposal artifacts; leverage vast capabilities, significant past performance, and critical teams within GDIT to win new business and follow-on contracts.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Capture Director, you will:

• Lead the effective execution of qualified capture pursuits using the GDIT enterprise business development process and gate controls, tracking capture performance against budgets and schedule, and communicating ongoing capture status to Division and Business Area leadership
• Define compelling and differentiating win strategies to include customer engagement, solutions development, competitive assessments, shaping strategy, teaming strategy, pricing strategy, and bid/no-bid recommendations to senior management (based on a price to win and other competitive assessments)
• Continuously shape and effectively position GDIT to increase probability of win through every phase of the growth lifecycle
• Establish competitive pricing structures and solutions that create executable programs with profitable returns at a winning price in line with Price-to-Win objectives
• Develop marketing strategies and provide input into market account plans with assigned account BD and P&L leaders that align with the company's strategic plan
• Develop and maintain high quality relationships with internal and external customers and industry partners

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS)
• Required Experience:
• 5+ years of Intelligence Community or Department of Defense experience
• 3+ years of capture-related experience with a proven track record of winning new and re-compete business
• Required Skills and Abilities:
• Proven effective interpersonal skills to lead in a matrixed environment and federal market
• Demonstrated ability to lead organizations to achieve high-performance standards
• Strong analytical skills as well as verbal and written communications skills
• Experience building and leading teams as a project manager, team lead, capture lead, or similar role
• Willingness to provide ‘deal sheet’ of opportunities led and supported with results (won, lost, pending) [without disclosing proprietary information]
• Security Clearance: Current TS/SCI required; polygraph eligible
• Location: Hybrid schedule minimum 3 days/week in the Herndon, VA office. Local travel to customer and industry locations is expected and some travel outside of the area
• Citizenship: US Citizenship Required

The likely salary range for this position is $187,179 - $247,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
