Are you a leader and interested in people management? If this is you, come join us in the National Solutions Business Area of the Intel Sector. We need your expertise and experience to run the most challenging captures and lead a team of seasoned capture professionals!

Intelligence Sector | National Solutions Business Area

The National Solutions Business Area (NSBA) within the Leidos Intelligence Sector is seeking a Capture Director to lead and execute high-value capture efforts across priority Intelligence Community customers, with emphasis on NRO, NGA, and adjacent mission partners.

This is a working Capture Director role. You will personally lead large, complex captures while also developing and elevating capture talent across the business area. This position reports to the Senior Director of Growth & Strategy for National Solutions and plays a critical role in shaping pipeline, maturing opportunities, and converting qualified pursuits into wins.

We are looking for a disciplined growth leader who thrives in ambiguity, drives structure, and competes to win.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute captures for high-value pursuits (>$300M TCV), from qualification through post-submittal.
  • Develop and implement overall capture strategy including win themes, discriminators, competitive positioning, teaming, and pricing strategy.
  • Partner with Account Managers and BD leads to ensure disciplined opportunity shaping and qualification.
  • Own adherence to the Leidos capture process, gate rigor, and investment discipline.
  • Influence solution development across technical, pricing, contracts, and program leadership teams.
  • Build and maintain strong customer intimacy within the Intelligence Community.
  • Assess and model competitor behavior to inform positioning and pricing strategy.
  • Lead capture teams across sectors and functional organizations.
  • Mentor and elevate capture managers and growth professionals within the business area.
  • Drive accountability for measurable capture performance, including win rates, investment ROI, and pipeline conversion.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s with 13+ years).
  • 10+ years of experience in capture management supporting DoW and/or Intelligence Community customers.
  • Demonstrated success leading captures resulting in single-award wins >$250M TCV.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive win strategies.
  • Experience with opportunity qualification, competitive assessment, customer shaping, teaming strategy, and pricing strategy.
  • Strong executive communication skills, including ability to brief senior internal and customer leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence across organizational boundaries without direct authority.
  • Experience negotiating and executing teaming agreements.
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations and IC acquisition processes.
  • Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret SCI.
  • Experience with NRO and/or NGA procurement environments.
  • Experience in fixed-price, completion-type, and complex IDIQ contract structures.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing capture professionals.
  • Experience managing capture investment portfolios and B&P budgets.
  • Strong understanding of IC mission areas including space, GEOINT, SIGINT, ground systems, mission IT, or analytics.

What Success Looks Like

  • Improved capture discipline and gate rigor.
  • Increased qualified pipeline conversion.
  • Clear competitive positioning in priority IC accounts.
  • Strong cross-sector collaboration.
  • Measurable win performance on strategic pursuits.
