About the Role

Forterra is seeking two motivated, high-performing Capture & Proposal Analysts to support the company’s growth organization. These roles are ideal for early- to mid-career professionals who have hands-on experience supporting defense acquisition, capture, and/or proposal development and who want to grow in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

The Capture & Proposal Analysts will report directly to the Senior Director, Capture & Proposals and work closely with portfolio-based Growth Leads. Each analyst will be aligned to a portfolio and will help execute capture plans in partnership with Growth Leads, while also leading andcoordinating proposal activities from pre-RFP through submission.

This role is best suited for someone who is proactive, organized, hardworking, and energized by solving problems. The right candidate will be a strong communicator and writer who can manage details, keep teams on track, and contribute across both capture and proposal efforts in support of strategic growthobjectives.

WhatYou’llDo

  • Support execution of capture plans for priority opportunities in partnership with portfolio Growth Leads and the Senior Director, Capture & Proposals
  • Help coordinate and advance opportunity shaping activities across the capture lifecycle, including research, competitive analysis, stakeholder coordination, milestone tracking, and documentation
  • Assistwith development and maintenance of capture artifacts, includingcall plans, win themes, customer profiles, competitive assessments, and gate review materials
  • Lead proposal process execution for assigned opportunities, including schedule development, compliance tracking, content coordination, color team reviews, and final submission support
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs from technical, program, contracts, pricing, and leadership teams to drivetimely, compliant, and compelling proposal submissions
  • Support solicitation analysis, outline development, requirements matrices, and proposal management activities
  • Help improve proposal quality through strong organization, clear communication, and effective review incorporation
  • Maintain capture and proposal data, templates, status reporting, and process documentation
  • Identifyrisks, roadblocks, and gaps early, and work collaboratively to solve problems and keep efforts moving
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Forterra’s capture and proposal processes, tools, and best practices

WhatYou’llNeed

  • Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in capture, proposals, business development operations, or defense acquisition-related roles
  • Experience supporting the capture and/or proposal process for U.S. Government or Department of Defense opportunities
  • Working knowledge of the defense acquisition environment, including government solicitations and proposal development workflows
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, organized, and professional materials
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work hard, take ownership, and solve problems with limited oversight
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence without direct authority
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills
  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to manage both internal relationships (cross functional teams) and external relationships (partners and vendors).

What We Love to See

  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Familiarity withproposal and capture processes at both small and large federal government contractors
  • Graphic design or desktop publishing experience
  • Familiarity withgovernment contracting and acquisition approaches across both FAR- and non-FAR based mechanisms (e.g., OTs)
  • Familiaritywith FMS and Internationalprocurement best practices and regulations
  • Familiarity with SIBR/STTR processes andlifecycle

The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience, education, specialized training, critical expertise, training, and more. Equity in Forterra is included in most of our full-time, high-demand roles and is therefore considered part of Forterra’s overall compensation package.
