Experience/Technical Skills required  
This role involves leading the design and strategic direction for the CAPPS application system within a government agency, focusing on digital transformation and cloud migrations. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise goals and technical best practices.
 
for the CAPPS Solution Architect:
  • Defining and evolving the product’s long-term strategy to align with state government objectives and technical realities.
  • Translating high-level business goals into clear, actionable technical roadmaps.
  • Partnering with Managed Services vendors to shape architecture, evaluate technical trade-offs, and ensure high-quality implementation.
  • Reviewing solution proposals to ensure they fit within the enterprise ecosystem and adhere to best practices.
  • Providing architectural leadership for modernization, cloud migration, and large-scale projects related to the CAPPS program.
 
Requirements for the CAPPS Solution Architect:
  • Extensive experience performing technical activities in support of CPA application systems
  • Extensive experience creating and managing strategic roadmaps by combining planning, technical insight, and cross-functional communication
  • Experience preparing materials for and conducting executive-level presentations
  • Experience in interpreting contractual language and managing vendor accountability
