What you’ll be responsible for

We're looking for a Project Manager – Land to join our Capital Delivery Enabling Services Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of major capital investment projects, providing expert advice on land and estates matters and working collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

As a Project Manager within our Enabling Services team, you'll provide specialist advice and support to ensure land-related activities are delivered in line with programme requirements and regulatory commitments within the AMP8 Business Plan. Working closely with delivery teams, estates professionals, framework partners and external organisations, you'll help remove barriers to project delivery and ensure land matters are managed effectively throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

1. Acting as the primary point of contact for land-related matters, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including Welsh Water's Estates team.
2. Supporting Capital Delivery and Enabling Services teams on land acquisition, leasing, access rights, land entry and other estates-related activities.
3. Working collaboratively with delivery partners to support the timely progression of projects.
4. Building effective relationships with engineering, delivery and Engineering Consultancy Service (consultancy teams) to ensure a consistent and customer-focused approach to enabling activities.
5. Working closely with Local Authorities, regulators and other external stakeholders to support efficient and consistent land processes.
6. Maintaining strong relationships with Asset Planning, Operations and Asset Management teams to support the successful delivery of business plan outcomes.
7. Supporting the development and implementation of delivery strategies and continuous improvements across Enabling Services activities.
8. Leading, supporting and developing team members in line with Welsh Water policies and procedures where line management responsibilities apply.
9. Contributing to a positive, inclusive and collaborative working environment.
10. Undertaking other duties as required to support business needs.

About you

We're looking for someone who can build positive working relationships, manage competing priorities and provide practical solutions to support successful project delivery.

Essential qualifications

• Degree-level qualification, professional qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of the water industry and/or infrastructure delivery environment.

Essential experience

• Experience managing or supporting land and estates-related activities within capital investment or infrastructure projects.
• Experience working with a range of stakeholders, including developers, local authorities, regulatory bodies or delivery partners.
• Experience supporting project or programme delivery within a structured governance environment.
