About the role

Join Ampol's Retail Construction Team and play a key role in delivering a national capital investment program valued at approximately $100 million annually across our network.

As the Capital Programs Analyst, you'll provide financial analysis, reporting, and data governance that supports the successful delivery of high-impact construction projects. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll turn complex project and financial data into actionable insights, helping leaders make informed investment decisions and drive strong commercial outcomes.

You'll also collaborate across Retail and Engineering teams to identify opportunities, influence strategic initiatives, and support the effective allocation of capital to maximise value for the business.

Key responsibilities

  • Data Management: Collate, maintain and update construction program information within the relevant project management tool. Work with Project Managers to ensure accuracy of information and provide timely updates.
  • Project Reporting: Design and maintain dashboards, visual reports and data tracking tools using platforms like Power BI to assist with progress reporting and leadership team updates.
  • Capital Management: Assist with management of annual capex allocations including:
  • Summarising capital allocations, capital expenditure requests, project tracking and delivery,
  • Reporting of monthly forecasts and capital spend, including commentary on program & project movements,
  • Preparation of annual capital plan, and
  • Liaise with Retail Commercial Finance on a regular basis.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree qualified in Commerce/Business/Construction Management or related field
  • Extensive experience as an Analyst, Project Coordinator or Assistant Project Manager
  • Experience in business case development and presenting to senior management
  • Experience in creating and analysing commercial reports for distribution to a variety of stakeholders
  • Comfortable accessing and using extracts from data warehouse to gather data and to support analysis

Ampol also owns a 20% equity interest in Seaoil, a leading independent fuel company in the Philippines.
