The Administrative Assistant III is responsible for supporting all aspects of the capital equipment acquisition process for Operative Services across the WV, WW, and SM campuses. This includes assisting units with gathering product requirements, strategic sourcing of goods and services, acquisition of capital equipment, and contracting for products and professional services.
The incumbent works within an interdependent team environment, utilizing strong communication and problem-solving skills to maximize customer satisfaction. This role requires adaptability and effective time management to meet departmental goals while managing a high volume of time-sensitive tasks with varying levels of complexity.
The position involves supporting assignments that require analysis of purchasing options, including in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The incumbent is responsible for obtaining departmental purchase orders and may be assigned to other administrative functions or areas as needed.
