This limited-term opportunity supports Capital Management & Asset Optimization for ENMAX Generation and offers broad cross-functional exposure with meaningful business impact. Working as part of a highly engaged and collaborative team, the successful candidate will contribute to capital planning, forecasting, investment evaluation, reporting, and lifecycle asset management practices. This role is well suited to someone who can ramp up quickly, build strong relationships, and take ownership of their work with confidence.
Major Responsibilities:
Identify, evaluate, andoptimizecapital investment opportunities using risk and value-based criteria.
Partner with operating teams tovalidatebusiness needs and proposed investment requirements.
Coordinate investment planning and valuation activities to support capital decision-making.
Support the development of business cases for executive review.
Analyze andoptimizethe Generation investment portfolio within financial, environmental, and operational constraints.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support annual capital budgets, long-term operating plans, and lifecycle asset management plans.
Assistin developing andmaintainingthe Generation Capital Plan and related reporting.
Maintain and enhance capital management processes, governance, and planning tools.
Serve as a subject matter expert for the Value Framework and Business Case Evaluation tool.
Support lifecycle planning, asset data validation, and continuous improvement activities.
Coordinate integration across capital management, financial, project management, and operational systems.
Deliver regular and ad hoc financial reporting, analysis, and modeling for operations and senior leadership.
Education Required:
Degree or Diploma in Commerce, Economics, Engineering,Financeora relatedfield.
Working toward a recognized accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA) would be considered an asset
Qualifications:
4+yearsrelevant analytical experience
Demonstrated business acumen within the energy industry is an asset.
A self-starting team player with a good understanding of proper controls and processes.
Experience with large enterprise reporting systems (familiarity with Adaptive,PowerPlan, Maximo)
Familiarity withCopperLeafSuite (C55)isan assetDemonstrated ability to develop strong business cases.
Strong financial modeling skills.
Portfolio optimization, valuations, quantitative analysis, riskmanagement experienceisan asset.
Have a general understanding of project management concepts, and how capital planning integrates with the broader project lifecycle.
Knowledge of, and the willingness to learn about Asset Management theories and applications.
Advancedproficiencyin MS Excel and other database applications.

Salary:Analyst Level C (Current CUPE 2025 rates)
$99,626.44 - $105,855.57 - $112,084.70 - $118,313.83 - $124,542.96

Location:This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) workforce with office workspace locatedat ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB) You will have the opportunity to work from home on Mondays and Fridays and will be in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
