Hitachi Energy Transformer Business Unit in Greater China operates across 55 cities, employs over 1,900 staff, and manages 5 transformer manufacturing plants. More than 90% of its sales come from locally manufactured products. How you’ll make an impact

1. You will lead and manage the full lifecycle of complex manufacturing programs and projects, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control, and closure also develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, objectives, deliverables, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

2. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, supply chain, quality assurance, and sales, to ensure seamless project execution and monitor project progress, identify deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions to maintain project trajectory.

3. You will manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost-effective resource utilization also facilitate effective communication and collaboration among stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.

4. You will identify and mitigate potential risks and obstacles to project success, developing contingency plans as needed and implement and maintain robust project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.

5. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing processes and project management frameworks and prepare and present detailed project reports and presentations to senior management and key stakeholders.

6. You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

1. You hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

2. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in manufacturing program or project management, preferably within a complex industrial or technology environment.

3. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale manufacturing projects from conception to completion.

4. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality management systems.

5. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

6. Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills with PMP or equivalent project management certification highly desirable.

7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and globally distributed environment.

8. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
