DHL Express is looking for a Capacity & Planning Manager (Weekend) in Diegem.

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

• As a member of the Global Capacity Management Team, the jobholder contributes to the general strategy, policies and decisions regarding capacity utilization & optimization
• Lead the Capacity team and effectively manage access to the DHL network and/or partners to achieve an optimum utilization of the available capacity.
• Directly manage the global booking & capacity process. 24x7 during days of operation
• Ensure the use of company capacity management systems to maximize capacity up take.
• The job holder has a direct impact on revenue, cost and target achievement by deciding on the shipment profile that is accepted on our network.
• The job holder has responsibility to act on behalf of the Aviation Commercial group, including decision making, during their operational window.
• The job holder will ensure service continuity across the 24x7 operating Window
• The job holder is responsible to ensure booking & planning of all ACS allocated capacity across all network platforms, Air or Road.
• The Job holder ensures that external and internal customer requirements, with regards to service expectations are met through optimum utilization of the capacity available for ACS.
• Ensure the global organization is kept informed of available capacities and have continual access to same.
• Balance the demand to fill all available capacity and maintain the highest levels of service performance.
• Interface with people across the organization in multiple time zones and language areas
• Problem solving in this function requires a broad network awareness & understanding to ensure the best possibly results for the ACS product over the identified period.
• The role holder will be required to function autonomously and independently, at all levels in the organization.

Do you have what it takes?

• Educated at the University Level, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 6 years experience in related area of responsibility
• Detailed Operational experience is a necessity.
• Detailed knowledge of DHL flown Network is a must.
• Thorough understanding of the air cargo industry principles and appropriate technical know-how.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Strong individual that can work independently and within a team to deliver results.
• Strong diplomacy and persuasion ability.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Extensive knowledge of the DHL products and processes including aircraft and truck specifications
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Demonstrated team player
• Excellent computer skill
• Needs to be a confident decision maker
• Fluent in English, written & spoken. (Other languages are a benefit)

Working schedule

This full-time position. Employees work on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with the rest of the week off.
