About the team
The Global TikTok Short Video Safety Operations (VSO) Planning Team will serve as the hub of operational excellence, responsible for evaluating and executing impactful global initiatives, creating comprehensive reporting structures, delivering data-driven insights, and optimizing resource allocation within the Global region.
Capacity Planning is one of the major modules within the Video Safety Operations teams. It is primarily responsible for the planning of workforces within operations, aiming to achieve the business goals of the company, product and organisational levels.
As a Capacity Planning Analyst in the TikTok Planning team, you will be working with both cross-functional stakeholders and internal teams to provide accurate capacity forecasts, optimize resource allocation, develop and maintain capacity planning methodology, analyze operational metrics, and support decision-making processes on behalf of TikTok. You will also be responsible for identifying potential risks, recommending mitigation strategies, and ensuring that capacity planning aligns with business goals and growth projections.
What will I be doing?
- Demand Forecasting and Allocation in Large-Scale Operations: Deeply understand the changing demands in the content safety field, accurately forecast based on business data and market trends, and ensure data-driven and efficient resource allocation.
- Resource Allocation Principles and Analytical Reports: Propose scientific resource allocation principles under the premise of business growth and cost control, write detailed analytical reports, and provide data support and decision-making basis.
- Team Guidance and Planning: Guide other analysts in the team to develop optimal resource planning based on different business scenarios, ensuring effective implementation of various business strategies.
- Alignment of Business Goals and Strategies: Maintain close communication with regional and business line leaders to ensure consistency in business goals and strategies, and promote the implementation of resource allocation plans.
