POSITION PURPOSE
This position of cantor is for the lead Singer and Cantor for the St. Mary Magdalen Choir. The cantor collaborates with the pastoral leader to provide quality liturgical celebrations and experiences for members of the parish. This is a part-time position.
1. Provides music for weddings and funerals, if available.
2. This is a part-time position with the availability to cantor for masses, weddings, and funerals and celebrations s assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Ability to work weekends
2. 2 or more years as Choir member in the St. Mary Magdalen Choir or similar.
3. Proficiency in reading music.
4. Ability to work with diverse and vibrant Catholic Community
5. Liturgical awareness and knowledge
6. Microphone technique
7. Ability to attend extra rehearsals for the Choir and Choir Leads
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
