Job Description

CROWN Hellas Can Packaging SA is seeking a skilled Cans Deco Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair decoration machinery for aluminum cans, ensuring optimal production efficiency and product quality.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on can decorating equipment, including printers, coaters, and ovens.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on decoration machinery promptly to minimize downtime.
• Execute equipment changeovers and adjustments for different can sizes and designs.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize print quality, registration, and coat application.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify and address recurring equipment problems.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment performance.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new decoration machinery.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and efficiency.

Job Qualifications

• Proven experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing environment, preferably with experience on printing or decorating machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime as required.
• Relevant technical degree or vocational training is preferred.
