Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimal operation of can decorating machinery to ensure high-quality production and minimize downtime.
Job Responsibilities
* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on can decorating equipment, including printers, coaters, ovens, and related ancillary systems.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on decorating lines.
* Execute repairs, adjustments, and component replacements on machinery to restore full functionality.
* Set up and change over decorating equipment according to production schedules and specifications.
* Monitor machine performance, product quality, and production parameters, making necessary adjustments.
* Collaborate with production and quality control teams to address issues and implement improvements.
* Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
Job Qualifications
* Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing environment with decorating or printing machinery.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of complex machinery.
* Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems, including PLCs, sensors, and motor controls.
* Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
* Basic welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
* Technical degree or certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.
