Department Overview
Our department, the Contract Management Department, serves as the backbone of the company. Our mission is to provide controlled, end-to-end solutions spanning from contract management and financial settlement (billing and payments) to overall operations.
In particular, our Claim and Debt Management Section focuses on the essential element of corporate management: "money." We support the growth of the marketplace business from behind the scenes by planning and operating the platforms that handle financial settlements between Rakuten and the merchants on Rakuten Ichiba, managing billing and payments, and providing design support for new services.

Position Details
You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, primarily focusing on billing and payment operations for merchants on Rakuten Ichiba. Your responsibilities will include the following areas.
We expect you to take part in projects such as system improvements as a leader or manager candidate.
1. Requirement definition and flow construction for billing/payment operations for new services within Rakuten Ichiba (e.g., advertising, delivery)
- Organizing frameworks for new services and constructing settlement schemes.
- Designing operation flows for billing/payments.
- Acting as an intermediary between the departments in charge of new services and the development or accounting departments, and providing support until service release.
2. Billing/payment operations
- Collecting and managing billing/payment data.
- Planning, improving, and operating "BillPay," an internal system for disclosing documents such as invoices and payment notifications.
*BillPay is an internal proprietary system planned and operated by the Receivables and Payables Management Section.
3. Receivables collection operations
- Managing billed amounts and payment deadlines.
- Monitoring and executing measures to prevent non-payment.
- Handling collection operations for outstanding payments.
4. Operational improvement
- Identifying issues in existing operations and systems, and proposing improvements.
- Participating in projects for large-scale updates.
In addition to the above, you will first learn the "money mechanisms" of Rakuten Ichiba through monthly operations while receiving lectures on the various services of Rakuten Ichiba.
Subsequently, depending on your aptitude, you will proactively engage in planning for the system (BillPay) and operational improvement projects.

Mandatory Qualifications:
'‐ Experience in designing and improving business operations.
‐ Ability to facilitate smooth coordination and negotiation across departments.
‐ Basic PC skills (proficient in standard Excel functions).
Desired Qualifications:
‐ Experience in system requirements definition and process improvement.
- Experience of team management.
‐ Experience in creating reports and dashboards using BI tools (e.g., DOMO, Tableau).
‐ Experience in accounts receivable (billing) or accounts payable (payment) processes with business partners.
