
About the role
Mater Cancer Care Centre is currently seeking an experienced Registered Cancer Nurse to step into the Cancer Care Coordinator role. This opportunity is part time, 16 hours per week, maximum term contract until April 2027
Salary range: $70.58 - $76.63 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As the Cancer Care Coordinator within the MCCC, you will be responsible for the supervision and coordination of the patient’s cancer journey (for public patients) receiving care at MCCC and during their inpatient admissions to Mater Hospital Brisbane. Engaging directly with the patient to assist in planning and navigating their treatment pathways, coordinating supportive care, nursing support, referral to required services and planning patient centred care.
In this role, you will act as the central point of contact for Mater medical oncology patients throughout their treatment. You will oversee the coordination of essential support services, ensuring patients progress safely and confidently through each stage of care. Using your clinical expertise, you will conduct comprehensive holistic assessments to identify complex needs, respond proactively to emerging issues, and consistently support optimal patient outcomes.
About you
The ideal candidate will have current Registered Nurse registration through APHRA (with no conditions)
