As a Canada Tax P&S Manager, you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through their tax obligations, helping them manage the impact of tax on their business. You will act as a strategic consultant, advising on local and international tax affairs, business analysis, and profit-sharing strategies. Within our Tax practice, you will focus on enhancing tax functions to control risk and facilitate better decision-making, ultimately supporting businesses in achieving optimal corporate tax practices.

As a Manager, you will lead teams and manage client accounts, focusing on strategic planning and mentoring junior staff. You are accountable for project success and maintaining standards, motivating and inspiring others to deliver quality. You will coach team members, leveraging their strengths to meet client expectations. With your growing business knowledge, you will identify opportunities that contribute to the success of our firm, embracing technology and innovation to enhance delivery.

In this role at PwC Acceleration Center Kolkata, you will develop solutions and recommendations using multiple sources of information, including broader stakeholder views. You will simplify complex messages, highlight key points, and uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct, fostering positive outcomes for all parties involved.

Responsibilities

- Develop and execute integration strategies for tax-related aspects of Canadian Tax business combinations.

-Collaborate with senior leadership, tax specialists, and cross-functional teams to align integration plans with overall business objectives.

-Lead integration planning and execution, ensuring timely and efficient processes.

-Identify and mitigate tax risks associated with integration activities.

-Provide strategic direction on tax implications of integration projects.

- Monitor and report on integration progress, tracking key performance indicators and milestones.

-Conduct due diligence to assess tax implications and develop integration roadmaps.

-Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

-Stay updated on tax regulations, industry trends, and best practices.

-Mentor and develop junior team members.Advising clients on local and international tax matters to optimize their tax strategies
- Managing tax compliance processes to support clients in meeting their obligations
- Leading teams in the preparation and review of tax returns and related documentation
- Analyzing complex tax issues and developing strategic recommendations for clients
- Utilizing tax compliance and preparation skills to enhance client service delivery
- Coordinating with stakeholders to address tax implications of business transactions
- Developing and mentoring team members to foster their professional growth
- Simplifying complex tax concepts to communicate effectively with clients
- Upholding ethical standards and business conduct in all client interactions
- Leveraging data insights to inform tax-related decision-making and strategies

What You Must Have

- At least a Bachelor's degree in the following field of study: Accounting or Master's in Commerce
- At least 7-8 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required

What Sets You Apart

- In Tax, Manager, Senior Manager, and Director roles prefer candidates who hold an active primary credential, such as one of the following: (1) US CPA or foreign equivalent (2) US Enrolled Agent in good standing with an appropriate regulatory body (3) a firm-approved secondary credential
