As part of the one-church Creative Arts Team, the Huntley Campus worship pastor will enjoy the collaborative creative process in designing the weekly worship service for our campuses. After the planning process is complete, they take that collaborative plan back to their campus, where they serve as the worship leader and shepherd of an amazing team of volunteers serving alongside them in the campus creative arts ministry. This individual must be gifted with excellent musical and technical skills, as they will be instrumental in preparing the people's hearts to worship each week. Through heartfelt worship, they will also help prepare hearts to receive the teaching of God’s Word. Our ideal candidate for this full-time pastoral position will be proficient at leading worship, leading the band, running rehearsals, and directing the platform team at the campus from rehearsal through the weekend worship services.

Beginning with a group of six families in 1984, Christ Community Church has grown to over 5000 weekend attenders, including our DeKalb Campus in DeKalb County, our Aurora Campus in southern Kane County, and our Streamwood Campus in Cook County. A significant focus on reaching spiritually lost people has resulted in over 200 new believers being baptized each year. Christ Community had humble beginnings with services held in a rented movie theater. Weekly activities now take place in our 100,000 square foot St. Charles Campus with weekend celebration services held in our 2000 seat auditorium.
Jim Nicodem has been the senior pastor of Christ Community Church since its birth in 1984. Born and raised in the Midwest, Jim received his BA from Wheaton College, and his MDiv and DMin from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Jim is passionate about prayer and is the author of Prayer Coach, For All Who Want to Get Off the Bench and Onto the Praying Field.
