
Reporting to the Director of Campus Ministry, the Campus Minister for Sacramental Life and Christian Initiation holds dedicated responsibility for the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) and for the sacramental preparation of the Loyola Marymount University community, across the full arc of the academic and liturgical year. The position serves as the catechist for the initiation program. This position does not carry supervisory responsibility for staff.
The work follows the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults across each of its four periods: Evangelization and Precatechumenate, the Catechumenate, Purification and Enlightenment, and Mystagogy. The position works in close partnership with the Campus Minister for Liturgy and the Campus Minister for Retreats as peers, with neither position supervising the other, and collaborates with the Director of Campus Ministry, the Campus Minister for Catholic Student Life, presiders drawn from the Jesuit Community and the wider Church, Saint Anastasia Catholic Parish, and the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Salary range
$78,600.00 - $102,200.00 Salary commensurate with education and experience.
