Job Title: Campus Liaison
Pay Program: Salary Schedule, Non-Exempt
Pay Range: Range 8 ($19.68 - $21.96)
Work Year: 176 days / 8 hours per day
Reports to: Building Administrator (Director of Safety and Security)
Summary
Operating under the direction of the Building Administrator, the Campus Liaison supports a safe and secure school environment in alignment with District safety and security protocols and under the functional guidance of the Director of Safety and Security. This position maintains a highly visible presence throughout the school day, assists with student movement and attendance, monitors campus activity, and supports the implementation of school-wide parking and safety procedures. The Campus Liaison serves as a welcoming point of contact for visitors and vendors, provides assistance and directions, and collaborates with school administration and law enforcement as needed to address safety concerns and maintain a secure campus environment.
Job Responsibility Description
Campus Safety & Security
- Monitor assigned school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and other designated locations for unauthorized individuals, suspicious activity, safety hazards, unsecured doors, and other security concerns.
- Respond or report concerns in accordance with school and District procedures.
- Support implementation of established school and District safety, security, and emergency procedures .
- Maintain accurate records and incident reports and communicate information to appropriate personnel.
- Assist school administration, District safety personnel, law enforcement, and emergency responders with safety and security-related matters as directed.
Student & Visitor Support
- Provide a visible and supportive presence throughout the school campus and assist with the safe movement of students.
- Encourage students to report to assigned classes and activities and address or report loitering, trespassing, and other concerns in accordance with school procedures.
- Greet and assist visitors, vendors, and community members and support established visitor and campus access procedures.
Parking, Traffic, and Campus Operations
- Monitor school parking areas and support implementation of site parking procedures, including verifying parking authorization and issuing parking notices or citations as assigned.
- Assist with traffic flow, parking, and pedestrian safety during arrival, dismissal, school activities, and after-hours events.
- Provide campus safety and security coverage for school activities and after-hours events as assigned.
- Support school administration with supervision, safety, security, and other operational needs as assigned.
Other Duties
- Additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities may be assigned as needed/requested.
Education and Experience
Acceptable demonstration of acceptable education and/or experience will be at the sole discretion of the District.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience working in a school, security, safety, customer service, youth supervision, or related environment preferred.
Licenses, Registrations or Certifications
- Criminal background check required for hire
- Valid Colorado driver's license or valid Colorado identification required
- Must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment Functional Capacity (physical) Evaluation, including the ability to safely lift up to 35 pounds.

- Knowledge of basic safety, security, and emergency response practices.
- Ability to monitor school buildings and grounds, identify potential safety or security concerns, and respond appropriately within established procedures.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to provide clear directions and communicate effectively in challenging or sensitive situations.

- Ability to understand and consistently follow District and school safety, security, visitor, parking, and operational procedures.

- Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
- Basic computer skills and ability to use District technology and systems necessary for communication, documentation, and reporting.
