ABOUT THIS POSITION
This Baker position is located in a school environment where food plays an important role in students’ daily experience. This role is perfect for someone who loves baking, enjoys serving others, and takes pride in contributing to a positive team environment.
You do not need to be a professional baker or pastry chef. We are looking for someone with enthusiasm for baking, a willingness to learn, and a service-minded attitude who is excited to help wherever needed. Genuine Foods provides training, support, and opportunities to grow culinary skills over time.
The ideal candidate enjoys working around students and educators, brings positive energy to the kitchen, and approaches each day with curiosity, reliability, and teamwork.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and bake menu items following recipes and guidance from the Chef and Genuine Foods standards
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed at all times
- Assist with prepping, baking, packaging, and organizing baked goods for service or delivery
- Coordinate with team members to ensure products are ready on time
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Keep baking and storage areas stocked and orderly
- Support teammates and assist with additional kitchen or cleaning duties as needed
- Contribute positively to a collaborative, service-focused kitchen culture

Previous kitchen or baking experience is helpful but not required.
