We are looking for a Campus Construction Director to join our team.

Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the team behind the cloud, delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals and live/online services worldwide. CO+I is responsible for the infrastructure, security, compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability that power Microsoft’s cloud platform. Within CO+I, the Air Gapped Cloud (AGC) Delivery & Execution organization is responsible for delivering secure, mission-critical infrastructure in highly regulated environments. This team translates demand signals into predictable capacity delivery and serves as the single-threaded owner for end-to-end infrastructure execution. The organization integrates program management, datacenter development, construction, integration, and readiness from early planning through operational handoff while upholding the highest standards of security, safety, quality, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Owns end-to-end construction delivery across a campus, accountable for scope, schedule, cost, and quality outcomes
• Leads and develops a high-performing construction organization, including Construction Managers and field teams
• Drives integrated execution across all projects, aligning to campus master schedule and key delivery milestones
• Manages GC/EPC and trade partner performance, ensuring accountability to contractual and operational commitments
• Champions safety, quality, and compliance, enforcing standards and maintaining a zero-incident culture
• Anticipates and mitigates campus-level risks and dependencies, governing change and resolving critical issues
• Delivers clear executive reporting and performance governance, driving predictability, accountability, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years related experience
  • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.
• Clearance Verification This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements. You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
• Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customer and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport, or other approved documents, or verified US government Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 15+ years related experience
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 15+ years experience working on data center projects.
• 10+ years project management experience.
• 3+ years of people management experience

Construction Project Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
