We are recruiting for individuals to join our Elections team.This recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies.
In this role, you will provide regulatory compliance support, and enforcement of Oregon election law. This is accomplished in part by, but not limited to
Interpreting and applying Oregon campaign finance laws, administrative rules, policies, and procedures for internal and external partners and the public
Teaching filers how to submit filings on ORESTAR (Oregon Elections System for Tracking And Reporting)
Explaining election laws and rules to the public and to filers
Reviewing filings for legal sufficiency
Conducting investigations into possible election law violations
Making recommendations about the outcome of investigations
Issuing civil penalties for non-compliance
Answering the public’s questions about registering to vote and voting

Your application must demonstrate education and/or experience in the following:
Four years experience doing administrative research that included compiling and evaluating facts to recommend management action, or decide compliance with program guidelines and regulations. Two of the four years must be above the technical support level.
Note college-level course work may substitute for experience on the basis of 45-quarter units per year, up to a maximum of three years. If you are using your education to meet the minimum qualifications of this position, transcripts are required no later than the time of interview. Transcripts must clearly show 1) your name; 2) the name and address of the institution; 3) course work completed with a passing grade. For application purposes, photocopies are acceptable; however official or original documents may be requested to validate education.

Proven ability to promote a team – oriented environment by engaging in proactive understanding of elections issues, procedures, and program functions
Demonstrated understanding of supporting teams in a hybrid work environment
Preference may be given to candidates with campaign finance and/or elections administration experience.
