About the Role
Billease is looking for a Campaign Engineer to design, execute, and optimize customer communication campaigns across email, Viber, push notifications, SMS, and in-app channels. You'll own the end-to-end campaign process—from building campaigns and defining audiences to tracking performance and using insights to improve results—while partnering with product, marketing, and analytics teams to deliver data-driven lifecycle communications that boost customer engagement and conversion.
Campaign Design and Execution
- Plan and build lifecycle and promotional campaigns across email, Viber, push, SMS, and in-app, maintain the campaigns calendar.
- Design and assemble campaign assets end to end, from copy to layout: build mobile-first, on-brand templates using established brand components.
- Hand-code and edit responsive HTML email where needed, and make sure templates render correctly across devices, clients, and screen sizes.
- Write clear, action-oriented copy in English, Tagalog, and Taglish, adapting tone from transactional to promotional.
- Maintain a shared library of reusable templates, design components, and audience segments so the team can move quickly and stay consistent.
- Turn campaign briefs into clear messaging, sensible journeys, and the right audience for each send.
- Define segmentation, targeting, and exclusion logic so the right people get the right message at the right time, document everything in campaign briefs.
- Set up, QA, and launch campaigns in our marketing automation tool (MoEngage), with strict checks on links, personalization tags, rendering, segmentation logic, and tracking before they go out.
Testing and Experimentation
- Track the metrics that matter: open rate, CTR, conversion, retention, reactivation, and revenue impact.
- Run post-campaign analysis, read the results honestly, and call out what moved the needle and what did not.
- Know when a blended number hides the real story, and break results down by offer, segment, or channel when it does.
- Turn findings into concrete recommendations and feed them into the next campaign and the template library.
- Build and maintain simple, reliable reporting and dashboards the team can trust and act on.
Performance, Analysis and Improvements

- Work with analysts on targeting and measurement, and with marketing on creative direction and brand.
- Partner with product and marketing to spot lifecycle triggers and new campaign opportunities.
- Keep audience definitions and reporting consistent so campaign numbers reconcile across the team.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of Hands-on experience designing and running lifecycle or CRM campaigns across email, Viber, push, SMS, or in-app.
- Solid template and creative production skills: responsive HTML email, layout, and a good eye for hierarchy, spacing, and visual clarity; comfortable in Figma, Canva, or similar.
- Strong copywriting in English, Tagalog, and Taglish, from transactional to promotional tone.
- Strong grasp of campaign testing and measurement: A/B testing, control groups, conversion, and reading performance data.
- Comfortable in marketing automation platforms such as MoEngage, including building, QA-ing, and deploying templates and journeys.
- Able to pull and work with your own data; comfort with SQL is a plus but the focus is on insight, not heavy engineering.
- Detail-oriented, with a quality-first habit and the ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
- A plus: background in fintech, lending, or BNPL, and familiarity with funnel and retention metrics.
