Job Description

Job Purpose

The Communications Developer supports the Campaign Team by creating, updating, and troubleshooting HTML email templates in Engage Marketing Cloud. This role is responsible for uploading, testing, and deploying email campaigns, managing campaign queues, and performing hybrid tasks such as list creation. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Objectives

  • Develop and amend HTML email templates in Engage Marketing Cloud.
  • Upload, test, and deploy email campaigns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Communications (Marcomms) teams to support campaign execution.
  • Assist in managing campaigns in the open queue and provide backup support when needed.
  • Prepare reports and escalate issues in collaboration with Senior Developers and Team Lead.
  • Maintain and update process documentation to support continuous improvement.
  • Handle complex campaigns from the open queue within defined timelines.
  • Complete hybrid training for campaign and list creation processes and mentor team members.
  • Attend meetings across US and UK time zones as required.
  • Contribute to workflow optimization and reduction of campaign passes.

Key Skills

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS (including media queries), and XML for email development.
  • Strong understanding of web design principles and user experience fundamentals.
  • Ability to test and troubleshoot emails across multiple browsers and email clients.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server for data extraction and amendments.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms (preferably Engage Marketing Cloud).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for distributed team collaboration.
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and project planning abilities.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn hybrid responsibilities (campaign and list creation).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Applications (BCA) or equivalent; diploma in web development or data analytics preferred.
  • 01 year of experience in a marketing or technical role.
  • Hands-on experience with email and data development, including campaign execution using email marketing software.
  • Strong technical skills in HTML, CSS, and media queries.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
