Camp Program Specialist
Part-Time | Year-Round Saturdays + Optional Summer Weekdays

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

In this role, you’ll bring camp to life through hands-on activities like crafts, nature exploration, swimming, archery and boating. You’ll be part coach, part mentor, part role model—and 100% fun.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and supervise a variety of camp activities (crafts, games, target sports, nature, and boating).
• Coach target sports such as archery skills, adapting activities to different ages and abilities while keeping things safe and exciting.
• Help plan and prepare water-based programs at the pool and lake, ensuring they’re safe, creative, and age-appropriate.
• Step up with fun and engaging indoor alternatives when the weather doesn’t cooperate.
• Monitor and maintain a safe environment, following health and safety standards from Girl Scouts of the USA, the American Red Cross, and the American Camp Association.
• Be a positive role model for campers, building strong relationships and encouraging every girl to try new things and reach her goals.
• Keep program areas stocked, organized, and ready for action.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum age of 18.
• Experience working with children (strongly preferred).
• A positive attitude, adaptability, and strong communication skills.
• Certification in American Red Cross Adult/Child CPR/First Aid/AED, lifeguarding, small craft safety including basic water rescue, level 1 archery, and additional target sports—or willingness to obtain them (training provided if needed).

Physical & Work Environment

• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing, and hands-on activity required.
