Your Role as Jewish Experience Specialist
As the Jewish Experience Specialist, you will infuse Camp KEFF with Israeli culture, Jewish traditions, and values through creative and engaging programming. From Shabbat celebrations to cultural activities, your role will inspire campers and staff alike while fostering a deeper appreciation for Jewish heritage.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and lead Israel- and Jewish-themed activities for campers in grades TK-5.
- Oversee and implement meaningful camp-wide Shabbat programming.
- Organize and manage supplies for cultural and educational activities.
- Engage campers and staff in learning about Jewish values and traditions through dynamic programming.
- Serve as a resource for staff to incorporate Jewish culture into their activities.
- Develop and deliver training for staff on integrating Israeli culture and Jewish values.
- Create reusable resources for enhancing Jewish programming at camp.
- Participate in field trips, camping trips, and other camp-wide events.
The Fine Print
Schedule:
- June 15 – August 7 (with limited schedules to August 21)
- Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:30 pm, with mandatory staff training from June 1 - June 12 (8am-4:00pm including an overnight).
Compensation: $934–$1,083 per week based on experience, plus overnight bonuses and free PJCC Athletic Center membership.
QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For

Experience: Â Must be a high school graduate or age 18+. 1-2 years of experience in education or programming related to Israel and/or Jewish values and culture.
- Passion for Youth: Strong enthusiasm for working with children in grades TK-5.
- Curriculum Development: Experience creating engaging educational materials focused on Jewish themes.
- Certifications: CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain before camp starts).
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset and ability to work with diverse populations.

Experience: Prior experience in a camp setting is a bonus.
Mandatory Events:
- Open House June 10th 6:00-8:00pm
- Staff Overnight Camping Trip June 12th
- Family Pool Party June 24th 6:00-8:00pm
- Family Shabbat Picnic July 31st 6:00-8:00pm
