The Lakeland Hills Family YMCA is looking for enthusiastic Camp Counselors to help create an unforgettable camp experience for children in our community. Location: Lakeland Hills Family YMCA, Mountain Lakes, NJ Dates: June 22nd – August 14th (Optional add on of August 17 – 21st) Required orientations (1 needed) runs throughout June 1- 14 (Evenings/Weekends) Shifts: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM OR 9:00 AM – 5:30PM Full program and partial program positions available. Type of Counselors Needed: - General Counselors - Dance/STEM Academy Counselors - E-Sport Counselors - Sport Counselors As a Camp Counselor, you will: - Supervise and engage a group of campers throughout the day - Lead and participate in activities including: - Morning rotations - Group time - Hobby activities - Lunch supervision - Theme days and special events - Create a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for every child - Build positive relationships with campers and parents - Follow YMCA safety standards and child protection policies - Collaborate with Camp Directors, Assistant Directors, and Activity Leaders - Greet campers daily and ensure smooth transitions throughout the day - Specialty Counselors may have additional and/or different job duties.
