Camp Erie is a state-licensed camp program for school-aged children and while the bulk of our programming takes place over the summer, we also offer short-term camps during Thanksgiving break, winter break, and spring school breaks.

Duties And Responsibilities
Camp Duties:
- Performs duties associated with instructing or leading State-Licensed childcare programs
- Plans and implements activities for camp participants
- Provides exceptional customer service to all participants
- Responds to information requests, comments, and complaints
- Sets-up and take down required program equipment
- Leads indoor and outdoor group & participant activities
- Supervises participants during off-site field trips and activities
- Provides a welcoming and inclusive environment for a diverse participant population
- Gives choices and use positive behavioral supports to address camper behaviors
- Conducts headcounts according to an established schedule
Administrative Duties
- Maintains area, facilities, supplies and equipment to ensure a safe and sanitary environment
- Reports any issues or concerns with inventory, facility conditions, policies and incidents to supervisory staff as needed
- Maintains frequent communications with other staff, participants, parents and volunteers
- Attends and participates in staff meetings and trainings
- Ensures the safety of guests and program participants by enforcing all rules and policies
- Other/Miscellaneous
- Responds to emergency situations, administers first aid, CPR or other medical attention as needed, and completes incident reports
- Assists with conducting activities, special events and special projects as required and assigned
- Performs other related duties as assigned
QualificationsMinimum
Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations
- CPR, First Aid and AED certification or ability to obtain within three months of employment
- State Licensing Compliance Trainings and Certifications
