We are seeking a skilled CAM Programmer with strong experience in Mastercam to develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for precision machining operations. This role is responsible for translating engineering designs into efficient machining instructions, improving cycle times, and ensuring high-quality production output.
Create new CNC programs from scratch using Mastercam for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines
Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to develop accurate machining strategies
Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and machining sequences to optimize efficiency and quality
Simulate and verify toolpaths to prevent collisions and ensure program accuracy before release to production
Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues
Revise and optimize existing programs to reduce cycle times and improve tool life
Support setup personnel with tooling lists, setup sheets, and process documentation
Ensure compliance with quality standards and tight tolerances, including GD&T requirements
Assist in fixture design and workholding solutions to improve manufacturability
Maintain organized program files and documentation for repeatability and traceability
