Call Center Billing Representative

What is in it for you:

• 9-month contract.
• Full-time position: 37.5 hours per week.
• Rotating shifts within call centre hours.
• Availability for evening and Saturday shifts is required.
• Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
• Saturday: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
• Hybrid: 2-3 days/week in Markham office.
Responsibilities:
• Provide excellent customer service to Licensed Insurance Advisors, Contact Centre staff, Insurance Branch staff, and customers.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with insurance partners and underwriters.
• Support inbound billing inquiries as a representative of the organization.
• Communicate clearly, effectively, and empathetically with customers through telephone and email interactions.
• Identify customer needs and respond appropriately and professionally.
• Gather relevant information in a systematic manner to ensure seamless customer interactions.
• Take ownership of customer inquiries and maintain a strong commitment to resolution and follow-up.
• Handle approximately 50 inbound calls per day.
What you will need to succeed:
• 1-2 years of experience in a contact centre environment, preferably within the insurance or banking industry.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
• Professional telephone and email communication skills and etiquette.
• Proficiency with word processing software, Microsoft Excel, and web-based Windows applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and resolve customer concerns.
• Strong attendance and punctuality record.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts.
