What You May Lead

• Managing purchasing, inventory, supplies, equipment, freight, shipping, and vendor relationships
• Planning for wildfire, severe weather, extreme heat, utility, transportation, and supply-chain disruptions
• Supporting capital planning, renovations, construction, infrastructure improvements, and equipment replacement
• Managing department budgets, staffing, scheduling, productivity, and performance
• Recruiting, training, developing, and supporting employees
• Developing policies, procedures, workflows, emergency plans, and performance standards
• Preparing for inspections, surveys, audits, drills, and emergency exercises
• Collaborating with clinical, administrative, quality, infection prevention, finance, executive, tribal, and community leaders
• Supporting facilities or services across multiple communities, tribal lands, clinics, or locations
• Helping maintain essential operations during emergencies, wildfire impacts, severe weather, staffing shortages, equipment failures, utility disruptions, or transportation delays
• Coordinating housing, transportation, fleet, or logistics support when part of the role
• Building relationships with local vendors, public agencies, tribal partners, contractors, and community organizations
• Identifying practical ways to improve efficiency, safety, reliability, and service quality
• Helping ensure the organization remains prepared, supplied, and operational every day

What You Will Bring

Qualifications will vary by opportunity, but organizations may seek:

• Progressive experience in healthcare facilities, environmental services, food and nutrition, supply chain, materials management, security, safety, emergency preparedness, logistics, or another support services area
• Previous leadership experience as a director, manager, supervisor, or comparable professional
• Strong knowledge of the regulations, safety standards, and operational requirements relevant to the position
• Experience managing teams, budgets, vendors, inventory, equipment, construction, or facilities
• Experience with emergency preparedness, life safety, infection-prevention support, or disaster response may be valuable
• The ability to prioritize competing needs and respond calmly to operational challenges
• Strong communication, organization, judgment, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working collaboratively with clinical, administrative, financial, executive, tribal, and community departments
• Experience supporting multiple facilities, tribal communities, remote locations, or geographically dispersed operations may be valuable
• Experience with rural hospitals, Critical Access Hospitals, FQHCs, public hospital districts, tribal healthcare organizations, regional health systems, long-term care providers, or community healthcare organizations
• Relevant education, certification, or technical credentials based on the position
• A visible, dependable, practical, and service-focused leadership style
