• Assisting with new services, seasonal demand, community events, or periods of increased patient volume
• Bringing specialty experience to a team with limited local resources
• Helping maintain safe, timely, respectful, and accessible care
• Completing required documentation and following organizational policies and procedures
• Supporting quality, safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards
• Adapting to environments where immediate specialty support or resources may be limited
• Helping coordinate care, referrals, telehealth, or patient transfers when required
• Supporting services during wildfire impacts, severe weather, transportation delays, utility disruptions, or other operational challenges
• Building respectful relationships with patients, families, employees, tribal partners, community organizations, and local residents
• Considering permanent employment when the opportunity, organization, and community are the right fit

What You Will Bring

Qualifications will vary by opportunity, but organizations may seek:

• Current licensure, certification, registration, or eligibility as required for the profession
• Eligibility for California licensure when applicable
• Relevant clinical, technical, therapy, behavioral health, or healthcare support experience
• Strong communication, reliability, adaptability, and professional judgment
• The ability to enter a new environment and work collaboratively with an established team
• A patient-centered and team-focused approach
• Willingness to support a rural hospital, clinic, public hospital district, tribal healthcare organization, long-term care facility, or community healthcare program
• The ability to meet background, health, credentialing, privileging, and onboarding requirements
• The ability to travel regionally, relocate temporarily, or work a rotational schedule when required
• Experience in rural healthcare, Critical Access Hospitals, clinics, tribal healthcare, long-term care, public hospital districts, or community-based care may be helpful but is not always required
• Respect for local traditions, organizational culture, tribal communities, and the priorities of each community
