Tescom, an Accredited Labs company, is expanding our high‑accuracy electrical and RF calibration capabilities and is looking for an experienced Electrical Calibration Technician to join our Austin laboratory.

This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys technical depth, autonomy, and variety You’ll work with advanced electrical and RF instrumentation, support a diverse Central Texas customer base, and contribute directly to accreditation scope growth—all in a stable, lab-based environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Calibrate and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and RF/microwave test equipment
• Perform work in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540.3
• Calibrate and maintain Fluke multifunction calibrators and high-precision DMMs (8.5-digit)
• Perform RF/microwave calibrations (signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, frequency counters)
• Analyze and document measurement uncertainty and ensure proper TUR
• Develop and review calibration procedures and support scope expansions
• Mentor junior technicians and provide technical guidance
• Maintain accurate records in IndySoft and support audits

Equipment & Disciplines

You’ll work across multiple calibration disciplines, including:

• Electrical / electronic & RF microwave instruments
• Physical & dimensional tools (calipers, micrometers, torque)
• Pressure, mass, balances, gauges, pH, humidity, and airflow instruments

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of electrical and RF calibration experience in an ISO/IEC 17025 lab
• Strong hands-on experience with Fluke 55XX / 57XX series calibrators
• RF and microwave calibration experience
• Proficiency in uncertainty analysis and technical documentation
• Experience with calibration software (IndySoft preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or related field (or equivalent experience)
