Calibration Technician:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Calibration Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, documenting, and maintaining calibration methods and processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of measurement instruments and test equipment. This role plays a critical part in supporting quality, manufacturing, and engineering operations by ensuring compliance with applicable standards and maintaining accurate calibration records.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and document manual and automated calibration methods for internal calibration processes.
• Coordinate calibration-related activities and requirements for new product launches and engineering projects.
• Perform calibration and verification of measuring instruments, testing devices, and equipment according to established standards and procedures.
• Ensure all instruments are calibrated correctly and remain compliant with applicable quality and industry standards.
• Create and maintain calibration plans and schedules for all applicable equipment.
• Maintain calibration records, certificates, and documentation in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate and resolve calibration-related issues, including out-of-tolerance conditions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and other departments to support operational needs.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize calibration processes and reduce downtime.
• Support internal and external audits by providing calibration documentation and compliance evidence.

Your Qualifications:

Required

• Technical degree, Associate Degree, or equivalent experience in Engineering Technology, Electronics, Metrology, Industrial Maintenance, Quality, or a related field.
• Experience in calibration of measurement and test equipment.
• Knowledge of calibration principles, metrology practices, and measurement uncertainty concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, specifications, and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred

• Experience with automated calibration systems and calibration management software.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO/IEC 17025, or similar quality system requirements.
• Experience in manufacturing or automotive environments.
• Understanding of electrical, dimensional, temperature, pressure, and force measurement systems.
