This role offers significant ownership and visibility and is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and building operations from the ground up.

This is a permanent role based in the UK, responsible for overseeing calibration activities, maintaining the highest standards of technical quality, and ensuring efficient and reliable lab operations as the business continues to expand.

During the initial phase, certain system-related activities and job creation may be supported by the Service teams in India and Germany, considering the expected lower starting volumes. As business inflow increases and the lab scales, additional local resources will be added to strengthen operational capacity and support future growth.

This role provides strong visibility across global service teams and offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-regional technical experts while shaping the future growth of the UK calibration capability.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate technical escalations when required.

Lab Operations & Logistics

  • Act as the primary point of contact for coordination with:
    • Cologne (Germany) Depot team (CSR & Logistics Team)
    • Customer Service teams supporting system related support
  • Provide operational inputs on inflow trends, turnaround times, and future capacity needs.

Customer Interaction

  • Handle basic customer queries related to calibration status, timelines, and documentation.
  • Support a high standard of customer experience aligned with Tektronix brand values.

What Makes This Role Unique

  • Opportunity to be part of a new lab setup in the UK, with end-to-end ownership.
  • High visibility role within globally respected brands— Tektronix & Keithley
  • Unique opportunity to help establish and grow the UK calibration lab from the ground up
  • Exposure to a broad range of high-end electronic test and measurement instruments
  • Long-term career growth opportunity as the UK calibration lab and service operations expand.
  • Close collaboration with experienced global teams across Europe and other regions

Who Should Apply

This role is ideal for individuals who:

  • Have minimum 5 years of experience in the calibration industry preferably in calibration of Electrical Test & Measurement products
  • Enjoy hands-on technical work combined with operational responsibility
  • Are comfortable wearing multiple hats in an early-stage setup
  • Can work independently and take ownership
  • Are motivated by the opportunity to build, shape, and scale an operation

If you are someone who believes they can initially run this operation as a “one-person setup” and grow it into a larger lab over time, we would like to speak with you.

Qualifications & Skills

  • UK-equivalent technical qualifications, such as:
    • HNC / HND in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or
    • BTEC Level 4/5 in a relevant engineering discipline, or
    • Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics & Communication Engineering or
