Schedule: Mon-Fri 7AM-330PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow established laboratory safety and operational procedures.
  • Perform all responsibilities of Calibration Specialist I and II.
  • Conduct or organize calibration activities for mechanical, electrical, and linear equipment according to established procedures to maintain calibration status.
  • Schedule and coordinate calibrations among various departments.
  • Calibrate - Enter data into calibration management system.
  • Preventive maintenance and repair – Perform repair and preventive maintenance on gages/equipment as needed.
  • Track and maintain all equipment status.
  • Calibrate and maintain vision systems (Micro-Vu, Optical Comparators, Keyence, etc) as needed.
  • Initiate NCR for all out of tolerance equipment as required.
  • Review gage design and approve drawings.
  • Write and maintain calibration procedures as required.
  • Ensure all calibration is in accordance with approved Procedures.
  • Represent the Calibration function during regulatory inspections and audits.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 7 years experience in a manufacturing setting required
  • 6 years experience with calibration of inspection/hand gages required.
  • 4 years minimum experience with calibration of various dimensional/physical/electronic equipment required.
  • 1 year minimum experience with calibration of vision systems (Micro-Vu, Optical Comparators, Keyence, etc) required.
  • 4 years experience with Geometric dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) required.
  • 1 year minimum experience using SAP calibration software.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Full working knowledge of SAP calibration software. Good mechanical aptitude. Ability to read blueprints. Good understanding of Calibration principles, ASQ certified calibration technician preferred PMEL or equivalent training preferred.
