About the Role
We are looking for an experienced ABS-ESC calibration engineer to lead and support active safety and New Braking Systems activities across the product development lifecycle, with a strong focus on ABS-ESC calibration function, and customer-facing project execution.
In this role, you will work closely with OEM customers, project teams, and cross-functional engineering stakeholders to drive, develop, calibrate & validate the control algorithms to meet customer, company & regulatory performance requirement and support successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Testing, Performance Evaluation, Application and Calibration of control algorithms in Electronic Stability Control for Commercial Vehicles
Understand and analyze customers’ performance & controller requirements.
Experience with powertrain calibration & interfaces to ESC & AEB preferred
Conduct Vehicle tests in summer and winter sessions and calibrate system performance per Bosch, Customer's and legal requirements.
Troubleshooting in vehicle for hardware, software & DAQ during development.
Interface with customers to provide technical support.
Follow company development and quality processes.
Support other group/departments in project acquisition and technical activities.
Flexible mindset of working on Test Tracks across India.
What We’re Looking For
B.E, M.Tech (Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronics).
5 to 8 years of relevant work experience.
Experience/Know how in conducting vehicle tests. (Eg. Brake tests, Lane changes on different test surfaces)
Understanding of ABS/ESC, Homologation testing as per regulations.
Good know how of Vehicle dynamics. Ability to push vehicles to its physical limits for system calibration.
Good driving skills & ability to judge vehicle behavior & system impact on vehicle behavior.
Good analytical and logical reasoning.
Understanding of programming language C, Matlab, Simulink, Ascet
Hands-on with DAQ (Data acquisition systems). VBOX, Vector tools, ETAS Tools, Data loggers, sensors & SW programming tools.
General awareness of automotive industry - current trends/affairs.
Testing experience on ABS and ESC system preferred.
Experience in Commercial vehicle brake system with understanding of brake system pneumatics & hydraulics preferred.
Commercial Vehicle Driving License Preferred
Nice to Have:
Prior experience with Anti-lock Braking System / Electronic Stability Control testing and calibration
Knowledge of commercial vehicle brake pneumatics/hydraulics
Commercial driving license and homologation exposure
