About the Role
We are looking for an experienced gasoline function calibration engineer to lead and support engineering activities across the product development lifecycle, with a strong focus on base calibration, drivability and emission work packages.
In this role, you will work closely with OEM customers, project teams, and cross-functional engineering stakeholders and support successful project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who combines deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Execute calibration work packages as per project agreement
Calibration and validation of vehicle functions for all vehicle/engine segments
Support calibration project managers for process adherence
Component Management, Vehicle and Test Track scheduling / organizing & tracking
Coordination with internal cross-functional teams and customer.
Review calibration development reports for work-packages responsible
Calibration review with calibration functional experts
Field data analysis and report creation
Calibration data and status update in ICDM & VCDM
Support for calibration efficiency improvements and innovation
Calibration automation and tools development
Preparing necessary test set up for calibration activities on the Engine/vehicle
Calibration, Validation & Field support at customer location.
Expedition trials at extreme locations for (Summer, Winter, Altitude etc)
Strict adherence to compliance requirements
What We’re Looking For
6 to 10 years of relevant work experience
Experienced in calibration development projects
Excellent knowledge of powertrain systems (gasoline /CNG) and sub-systems
Basic understanding of Engine management systems, overview of sensors and actuators
Good knowledge of developing engine management systems and testing techniques
Basic understanding of calibration process for Vehicle functions and Data set handling, Emission, After Treatment & OBD
Ability to use model-based calibration tools e.g. Inca, Uniplot, Cameo, ASCMO, AVL Puma, etc.
Experienced user of analytical software tools to handle large volumes of data.
Ability to understand, interpret and evaluate numerical data
Knowledge of Modelling and Simulation techniques.
Knowledge in hybrid vehicle powertrain.
Basic knowledge on internal combustion engine
Sound understanding of gasoline powertrain processes
Knowledge and experience INCA and ETAS tools.
Complete work in a safe, timely and professional manner with the minimum of supervision
Flexibility to undertake additional tasks to meet business requirements
Highly motivated, keen to learn and share knowledge. High attention to detail
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills. Pro-active and enterprising approach to work in time constrained environment
Willingness to relocate or travel extensively as part of calibration activities
Quick in understanding technical relations and consequences
Good driving skills for vehicle calibration activities (valid DL)
