**MUST HAVE PREVIOUS CALENDER EXPERIENCE **
Responsible for operating and maintaining machinery that processes rubber or plastic materials through heated rollers to achieve specified thickness, shape, and finish. Duties include machine setup, process monitoring, adjustments, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and adjust calender machinery per product specs
Feed and monitor materials to ensure consistent quality and thickness
Inspect finished products and make necessary adjustments
Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues to minimize downtime
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning
Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Maintain accurate production records
Help train new operators
Prepare and blend materials for processing
Qualifications:
Experience with calender or similar machines preferred
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of material properties
Detail-oriented and quality-focused
Physically able to perform manual tasks
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Safety-minded and team-oriented
Able to work in a dirty environment and in a physical position
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
