Responsible for ensuring that all accounting activities in the Cage & Credit Department are performed accurately and efficiently in accordance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, Federal and State Tax Commissions, and established company policies, procedures and controls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Interacts effectively with the public and people. Performs excellent customer service at all time.
Develops, implements and directs departmental procedures which enable the Cage to function more effectively.
Maintains adequate staffing levels in the Cage by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, assisting with career development, promoting, disciplining and terminating Team Members as needed.
Ensures the integrity of all financial data produced by the Team Members under his/her span of control.
Monitors all financial activities which relate to the Cage to ensure that all applicable laws, rules, regulations and controls of the company, the Federal and State Tax Commissions, and the Gaming Commission are enforced throughout the property.
Assists the Director of Cage & Credit in the creation and administration of the departmental operating budget and budget controls.
Establishes production standards and goals, and regularly evaluates departmental progress, revising standards and goals as needed.
Assists the Cage Shift Managers and Cage Shift Supervisors in understanding the complexities of certain responsibilities within the department.
Reviews departmental reports to ensure accuracy, making revisions as needed.
Approves/denies in-house check cashing accounts and casino credit accounts.
Assists the GL Manager as needed in all aspects of collection accounts.
Ensures a maximum level of service and satisfaction with respect to the Cage is achieved and maintained.
Facilitates the flow of information by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled meetings with all Team Members under his/her span of control.
Ensures to a very high degree the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
Maintains a consistent, regular attendance records.
Performs any reasonable requests made by management.
May be used as an usher as needed by management for events.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises the activities of all Team Members in the Cage & Credit Department.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related area from a four-year college or university; or a minimum of five years related Casino experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of two years experience at the level of Cage Shift Manager or above required.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of five years in Casino Cage required. Must possess excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills. Must be extremely number-oriented and computer-literate.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, guests, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inferences. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk or hear. The Team Member is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
The Team Member is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The Team Member is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to ten pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
The Employee is regularly exposed to risk of radiation from computers, as a great deal of the workday is spent working on spreadsheets or inputting data into the computer system.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. When on the casino floor, the Team Member will be exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
