Job Description

The Cage Supervisor oversees the personnel and operation of the Cage on an assigned shift.

  • Provide a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and cooperation within the department, and other departments.
  • Safeguard department and company assets while dealing with the public in an efficient and courteous manner utilizing company service standards at all times.
  • Monitor Cage activities for adherence to company policies, and various gaming regulatory regulations.
  • Authorize credit within established authorization levels.
  • Perform banking activities including processing of checks and markers, purchasing currencies as needed.
  • Supervise overall operation of Cashier Department personnel and cage clerks.
  • Ensure excellent guest courtesy and satisfaction.
  • Resolve disputes with guests when applicable.
  • Adhere to compliance of all gaming regulation and any other governmental agencies where applicable.
  • Prepare and coordinates periodic performance reviews of staff.
  • Prepare scheduling of shift to meet business demands.
  • Assist in interviewing applicants for Cashier positions.
  • Act as a role model; always presenting oneself as a credit to the company and encouraging others to do the same.
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Minimum of one to two (1-2) years’ supervisor experience required.
  • Minimum one to two (1-2) years’ related experience required.
  • High School Diploma required. College degree preferred. Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work harmoniously in a team environment.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Ability to work without direction and have organizational skills to accurately multi-task.
  • Effective written and verbal English communication skills in a professional manner, especially with all levels of management.
  • Good mathematical and clerical aptitude for accurate record keeping.
  • Excellent customer service skills a must.
  • Ability to obtain/renew all government required licenses or certification, specifically a Nevada Gaming license

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
  • Fast-paced environment, multiple tasks to be handled under time constraint.
  • Must be able to handle a heavy business volume, and sensitive situations relating to staff and guest problems, in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke.
