Job Description

The Cashiering Shift Supervisor will supervise and evaluate the overall operation of an assigned Cashier Cage and monitors the performance of Cashier personnel on an assigned shift while demonstrating and encouraging the highest level of guest service. Other duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Verifies and safeguards funds of assigned Cashier Cage on an assigned shift and performs all related functions during that shift.
  • Accountable for all transactions in a Cashier Cage.
  • Monitors, documents, and advises Cashiers as required.
  • Maintains Cashier folders, upholds the confidentiality of Cashier Records and evaluates Cashier performance on a regular basis.
  • Handles guests’ disputes, questions and acts as a source of information.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all guests’ records and transactions.
  • Provides courteous service and ensures guests’ satisfaction.
  • Adheres to compliance all gaming regulations such as Title 31 and Responsible Gaming as enforced by all state, company, and departmental policies.
  • Responsible for conducting Buzz sessions, providing daily information and creating a smooth transition from home to work.
  • Conducts timely performance reviews in accordance with company policies and procedures; provides feedback; coaching and development guidance utilizing a consistent, approachable demeanor while clearly articulating expectations.
  • Ensures that each team member clearly understands and is held accountable for their respective performance expectations.
  • Uses independent judgment in the interest of Caesars to effectively recommend the hire, transfer, review, promote, discharge, reward, or discipline staff.
  • Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars and encourages others to do the same.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to the regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Demonstrates Caesars Spotlight 5 behaviors: Initiates Friendly Greeting, Smiles and Makes Eye Contact, Demonstrates Upbeat and Positive Attitude, Checks for Satisfaction, and Provides a Warm Farewell.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in financial/credit areas is required. Previous money-handling experience is required and a proven proficiency with computers and 10 key adding machine.
  • Must have good math abilities.
  • Must have proven self as a good communicator, mediator and decision-maker.
  • Must have excellent human relation skills. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area.
  • Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers, fax machine and photocopier.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.

GAMING PERMIT: Non-Key
