Job Shift: AnyGeneral Definition: The CAFO (Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations) Safety & Compliance Specialist is responsible for the communication and implementation of the property-wide CAFO program to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local CAFO and environmental regulations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Records daily logs, inspects bulk bedding storage areas, manure bins, animal walkways, off-road conditions and street sweeping.
- Compiles required CAFO information to maintain and update CAFO Log books as mandated by regulatory requirements.
- Maintains compliance with all Remington Park CAFO Best Management Practices.
- Maintains tools and equipment at all times.
- Completes all requested reports in a timely manner.
- Supervises and complies with all EPA CAFO regulations for racetrack barn area.
- Monitors barns, stalls, and track areas for cleanliness, repair needs, and safety concerns daily.
- Ensures areas around manure roll off dumpsters are clean and free of debris.
- Works effectively with team members, leadership, horsemen, and regulatory agency personnel consistently.
- Acts as liaison between Remington Park personnel and Horsemen for communication with any CAFO-related or manure handling issues.
- Routinely inspects all stormwater drains to ensure they’re diked and filtered properly to meet regulatory requirements.
- Operates company vehicles or heavy equipment as needed.
- Performs an in-depth annual inspection in collaboration with the EHS Manager and Leadership.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED Required.

Training and
Experience:
- Must be able to pass annual CAFO and Safety Training.
- Minimum of one (1) year working with a ranch, livestock, agricultural, or racetrack barn operations required.
- Prior experience in safety and compliance is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
- Must be able to pass a background check and receive a license or permit from any Regulatory Agency, if applicable to perform the essential job functions.
- Valid Driver’s License.
