The Opportunity:
Behind every successful student is a passionate and dedicated support team. The Cafeteria Manager was established for the purpose/s of preparing and serving food items to students and/or school
personnel as well as maintaining food service facilities in a safe and sanitary condition. Reports to Office Manager and
works closely with Principal. Works with children, parents and outside consultants/vendors.


What You Will Do:

  • Supervise & serve students during lunch / recess and passing periods, including enforcing school rules, school boundaries, and school behavior expectations
  • Ensure a safe environment in the lunch room, school grounds and/or parking lot
  • Work with other school staff to ensure sufficient level of supervision coverage in all areas of the lunch room, school yards, and/or parking lot
  • Help mediate and resolve conflicts between students
  • Administer first aid as needed
  • Help keep the campus clean
  • Identify any major security or safety hazards and major repair needs in the recess area and ensures safety rules are followed
  • Complete accident reports as needed
  • Manage computer logs
  • Demonstrate knowledge of, and support Aspire Public Schools mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
  • Perform cleaning of the Cafeteria as required by school

What You Will Bring:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good problem-solving ability; good judgment
  • Good organization and planning skills
  • Ability to interact appropriately with children of different ages
  • Computer Skills
  • High School Diploma required
  • Experience monitoring and observing K-12 students preferred but not required
  • Training Provided
